Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.” – Matthew 26:31-33 (NIV) This account happened at the Last Supper. We remember this eveni ng through taking communion, but the Last Supper is also the moment when empty promises were made and the betrayal had begun. However, God used those broken promises to set the stage for Peter to be forgiven and stand as an example for all of us. Do you feel like you’ve failed God? The Bible says, “Fearing people is a dangerous trap” (Pr 29:25 NLT). And fear is common among people-pleasers. One author writes: “A pleaser daughter is one who, at any age, still tries to please her parents. From report cards to parenting style…her decisions are colored by the opinions of the people who raised her. But remember what Paul said, ‘When I was a child… I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me’ (1Co 13:11 NIV). A pleaser friend is one who can’t say no. Resentment may build up, but she always shows up and takes care of things. What she considers love and loyalty are often exploited by others who seek reliance, codependency and caretaking. A pleaser employee consistently works long hours without compensation or appreciation, covers for others who don’t pull their weig...

My Husband smoked a whole Chicken on the grill last night, so all I had to do was make sides to go with the Chicken. I decided to make, Greens with smoked a smoked turkey wing, Potato Salad and Homemade Sweet Rolls. All was going well, I made the dough for the rolls had them rising on top of the stove. I preheated the oven and discovered just before putting the rolls in the oven that the oven wasn't working. I couldn't believe it, being the oven is only 3 years old. So I turned around and looked at my Toaster Oven and decided to bake the rolls using the Toaster Oven. Now it was time consuming but, to my surprise they baked very well. Here's a couple of photo's one of the oven I used and the final product. Oh and the rolls were so lite and fluffy, I may start using the Toaster Oven from here on out for my rolls.
